the return of the goat.
Maybe you have been living under a rock or ignore American football, but the goat is coming back to his old home in which he broke so many records and lived more than 20 years of his life there as well.
Tom Brady is coming back to New England after leaving for Tampa to play with the Buccaneers. For some, this may be whatever, but for some of us, this Sunday night's game is a huge deal.
Brady was and will always be a patriots legend, a football legend overall, some would say the goat, myself included. He was not supposed to leave the Patriots, and he was the patriots. They were hand in hand in the eyes of the public. Brady played for the patriots for over 20 years and won six championships with the team. The pats and Brady were a love story, and growing up in the pats world, I would have never imagined Brady on another team because of the history the two had together. It reminds me of Sergio Ramos with Real Madrid if you follow up with the other kind of football.
Of course, in most teams, there are internal dilemmas that may stir a player away. Occasionally, a player wants out because of an internal problem, whether management issues or player-related issues. Why did Brady leave? If I am honest, I have heard many rumors and have my assumptions, but at the end of the day, none of it matters because he is gone either way.
A video went viral on Twitter a few days ago, which left me wanting to cry and emotional (I will attach it below). It was promoting the return of Brady to the team, and while it was a great video, it was gut-wrenching.
My hope for this Sunday is for the Patriots to win. Even though I am not over Brady leaving, my team comes first ALWAYS. I hope he goes easy on us even though he lost his last game. Hopefully, he does not take that out on us. I hope the fans don't boo him (which I doubt, we still love him for the most part), and I hope it's an excellent game. I know there will be lots of chills seeing Brady at Gillette with a different jersey playing against us and not with us.
And as always... GO PATS! LFG! and FOREVER NEW ENGLAND!
